hey I would appreciate it if someone could comment on my prereq grades. my cousin recently got into med school and he thinks my prereqs
could be brought up during interviews-as to why the grades fluctuate so much...does anyone else see this to be a problem? I know other sci classes
will be looked at as well, in which I have nothing less than A- (neuro classes, cell bio) and my sgpa is around a 3.65. thanks a lot

They might ask about the circumstances around the C+, but other than that, I don't see them asking why they fluctuated...they really only fluctuated between B and A. Depending on your sgpa, they might ask you a question about how you think you would handle the science heavy curriculum of the first 2 years or something....

This👍. Usually, red flags only pop up under a b- so that c+ has potential to be asked about but IMHO I doubt it.

if you had to explain, what would you say?

i also have a pile of B's during my freshmen year

Probably the C, but not really more than that.

thanks everyone! I really don't know what to say...I honestly just REALLY disliked physics and especially gen chem material and couldn't focus/wasn't motivated enough to study harder... I know that's really not an excuse for my grades lol

My pre-req grades were very similar to yours. I had a C in my first math class (calculus). Four interviews into this cycle, no one has asked about it, and I've been accepted at two schools.

I don't think you need to explain anything above a B-. What answers would they expect? It is what it is.
