LOL what a thread. Med school dropout comes back to let everybody know his super brilliant idea of what med school should also include.

Doctors don't need to learn how to code. The best big data research comes from collaboration with clinically trained physicians.

This. We decide what we want to do, you computer guys come up with good tools so we can get it done. Everybody wins. I dont need to know how you make the sausage.

I once had a calculus professor try to sell me on the idea that i need to take more calculus so that i could mathematically describe how arteries and veins change diameter over a given distance. 🙄
10/10 on passion for your work, though, professor.
Its a common human thing to try to get people to love the thing you love so that you can connect when what you should be doing is finding out what makes other people tick and what interests them.

Not a problem - long story short we moved to a different town and I couldn't take it with me. After that, I didn't want to start from scratch all over again so I just found a job with a local hospital.

I dont come on this forum too often. But im not surprised with the attitude of alot of you guys, Hey kid. Im making more money than youll make as a doctor. By the time you get there more than your salary (yeah the 500-800 k range in SV). Good laugh at the idiots who are in medical school, memorizing out of a textbook thinking they are the brain of everything in life.
