I have submitted an abstract and if it is accepted I will have a poster presentation later in the year. I'm not sure how big of a deal this is? Especially with DO schools, I've already submitted but i'm wondering if it would be worth updating the school in which I applied to about it, would it be weird saying "I will be presenting a poster on XX on December 1" even though it hasn't happened? I have a low mcat (24) so I doubt a poster would make me look any better lol but just curious what you guys think.
Thanks for the answers guys, btw i'm working alongside a graduate student so this project definitely isn't my own. My name is included in the abstract and I contributed partly in writing portions of it. Does it make a difference if it's my own or if I was helping with the project?
