Would someone please be gracious to put me out of my inqusitiveness(aka misery, if studying for the DAT) by telling me what the infamous sea urchin question is? Did a search, couldn't locate it.
Thanks.

What is the purpose of the fertilization membrane in sea urchins after fertilzation. Answer: to prevent fertilization by more than one sperm.

Explainations: After sperm enters the nucleus, there's this cortical reaction, cortical granules fuse with the egg membrane, this separates the vitelline layer from the plasma membrane and prevents polyspermy.
