PGY2 FM here. I've always been a poor test taker, and have barely gotten by on USMLE exams. I'd always pass, but never with anything above the bare minimum. I'd obviously be happy with a higher grade, but I'm not going to be sad if I barely pass again since I'm not applying to any fellowships. My test is on the 13th, and 23rd of May. I've gotten through UW questions once with an average score of 61%. I'm planning on doing:
1. My incorrect questions on UW.
2. Clinical mastery series NBME forms.
3. UW biostats.
4. UW CCS cases twice.
5. UW Self assessments
6. Step 3 NBMEs.
Step 1: 194
Step 2: 209
I've never failed a step, but as you can see I've come very close. People in my program who have failed once have had the opportunity to take it again without any career-jeopardizing repercussions-but I'd obviously like to avoid that scenario.
I'd greatly appreciate any advice, and I'm really looking forward to never have to take a USMLE again.
Thanks a lot.
