hey! i have a question regarding the applicability of my answer to the following interview question: Tell me about a time when u had to turn down a friend who asked for a favor?

In 2nd yr, university, a best friend asked me to sit next to him for the mid term so he could see my paper and i had to refuse him...would it be ok to use such an experience for this type of a question?

i mean i could think of a past experience where the favour could be something which is morally correct but despite that i had to refuse but this seemed easier to explain...lemme know

thanks

As long as you don't lie and you are genuine, anything is fine. There is no "right" answer.

It works, but I would choose something more safe. You are just inviting your interviewer to ask you a plethora of ethical questions. I wouldn't say that answer.

weather this was a true incident or not... it sounds made-up to me...

You've never had a friend ask you to go hunting? Or had a friend ask you to lend him more money than you can afford? Or have a friend ask you to co-sign for them? Or a a friend ask you to hook them up with a job in your company?.... so many different scenarios

ur answer isn't really bad, its just not something I would bring up... cheating senariors have a tendency to drag the interviwer into bombarding your with ethical type questions relating to cheating.
