My university has an organization where you can provide First Aid services at large events. For example, if someone gets hurt in the stands at a football game, or is injured at a concert, etc.

Would this be clinical experience or just volunteering? I'm not sure, because most people seem to get their clinical experience from working in hospitals/clinics or as EMTs. With this First Aid organization, it isn't even definite that I would end up having to help anyone.

It is a nice EC to list, but it is not a substitute for the real clinical stuff.

Med schools want to see that you know what a doctor's life really is and you are familiar with the people(nurse/EMT/PAs) that you'll be working with.

It's also good to have experience working with patients, and seeing the patient side of medicine.

First aid is specifically defined as being aid done outside of the clinic (or done in hopes of preventing a visit to the clinic).

Clinic life, even at the lowest levels, is a lot more involved than first aid.

Ok, thanks for the input! I might still do it, but it's good to know that it isn't really clinical experience.
