This may seem like a silly question...... BUTTTTT I finally got to watching Chad's video for GC. I notice he wears a periodic table shirt. In one of his videos, he mentioned there are shirts where the periodic table is upside down so when you look down at your shirt, you can read it 😀 If I were to wear one of these shirts to my DAT exam, would that be considered cheating even though they provide you a periodic table anyway? I think it's more convenient to look down at a shirt than to click back and forth 🙂

I dunno... but would you want to take that risk?
My understanding is, it takes them 3-4 weeks to "verify" people's scores, I think I read somewhere one of the things they do is they look over the video of the testee, if they see your head looking down on something, maybe theyr gonna think you were cheating and... void your test.... r u willing to take such unnecessary risk?

I would recommend to practice with periodic table on paper and train your eyes where each type of elements are located so you don't need to scan whole table every time you try to find specific element .

i mean just know where noble gages are ..i know that was easy but know where semi metal, metals, halogens, frequently used non metal or akali metals are and you should be fine.

Yeah I think they would consider it cheating, you do get somewhat of an unfair advantage with the periodic table there depending on how much information is on it. I wouldn't take the risk anyways, being labeled as a cheater on your DAT's will not help your Dental school application at all.

ok, what about takin the fifteen minute tutorial to write down the roadmaps from the destroyer on the dry erase. or at least the ones you have trouble remembering

that should be fine...as its coming out of your brain any way without any external material help....i would do it for QR section will write all the formula's i have trouble remembering...and prepare grid to do my hole punching section.

why? it probably take longer than to click on the table button and scan down.

Plus I never even need to consult the table. the numbers and the elements asked are so basic you don't even really need it.

As dentalworks says the verification is for them to be able review tape and do other stuff. possibly examine your comments(I complained some of my pat questions were some what unfair, slightly egg shelled white shaded folding, on a white background, I didn't notice until I reviewed) People who complained the computer freezing(likely with test center notes of such problems). review possible error of question based on difficulty of said question. if 90% of test takers missed what is rated a easy question.

While I highly doubt they review all 4 hours of every test taker. The fee you paid versus the man hour to review just doesn't work out from a profit stand point. They probably do a random sample + review people who the center flags as doing something suspicious.

While looking down isn't gonna be an issue, I mean you have to look down for the paper anyhow. If you keep tugging on your shirt besides to wipe your nose or whatever(I used my shirt to wipe the board since their eraser was junk) the test center people how ever lazy they are will start noticing and likely log your suspicious behavior.

Might as well put all the roadmaps on your shirt while you're at it. Just tell them you bought the shirt at the GAP and all the kids are wearing it nowadays.

Why not just put an outline of everything on your shirt.

I was scratching and rubbing my head most of the time. Additionally, I was stretching quite often.
