Hi all!

Quick question:

So I was wondering if I should include my past experiences from when I was pre-med: shadowing, organizations, etc

But there is no place to put NON-DENTAL shadowing (as the shadowing section is just dentistry).
I have included my past pre med experiences as info corresponding to my committee letter (so it will still be there).

Would it be fine just to list the organizations like AMSA and AED, and leave out the shadowing? Or should I just not include any of it? I dont wanna necessarily "lie" even though it's on my committee letter.

I left out my pre-med shadowing. I don't think it's really important to put on the app even if you included it in your committee interview (I did as well) since you should have explained why you chose dentistry over doing pre-med. If you go to an interview, maybe they'll ask you and you can explain how many hours and who you shadowed there but I don't think it's important on the ADDSAS.

As for the pre-med organizations, I listed one of them because I was really involved and became friends with people in the club and my pre-dent club is horrible in comparison. If it's meaningful to you, include it!

Don't include it, don't give a reason for committee to think you switched to dentistry because you can't get in med school. Not including every little thing you did isn't lying, it's just filtering information.
