Aside from obviously the in-state option, my top choice DO schools are the ones that rotate in my home state. Fortunately, both have offered me IIs so far. Is mentioning these rotations in a “So why our school?” question inadvisable because it might demonstrate a lack of commitment to their areas? It’s really at the top of the list of what draws me to the programs, aside from their strength. If it's not something you believe I should mention outright, I feel it would come up when I am asking the admissions committee questions, asking how they allocate rotation sites to students, and so on. I’d just hate to shoot myself in the foot in an attempt to show them I’m very interested in attending. Thank you, guy(s), as always!

Your answer would be fine. Why do you think it would be a bad thing?
Thanks for replying. I guess I’m concerned that they’d expect students to want to rotate in/generally serve their respective areas first and foremost.

My general advice is to have at least 4 things that attract you to each school on your list. The fact that these programs have rotation sites close to your home should be a plus for you (and those schools likely have reasons to pick those locations, too). What other reasons do you have? The main point is that you shouldn't make it your ONLY reason you are applying to them.

Got it. 4 things that can be elaborated on sounds like a good way to have a solid “Why us?” in an interview. Will definitely keep that in mind when preparing. Like I said, very strong programs in general, very well established and strong match lists. I appreciate all of your help always! Consistently dropping gems for the community. Thank you🙂

Yeah, I tend to do that. A lot. Appreciate your time!
Like most premeds and med student. You’re not alone it that. I was too. On this end, I just say chill it all works out how it’s supposed to.
