I'm applying this upcoming cycle, so I'm in the process of gathering rec letters from professors. One of the professors I asked said that he would gladly write me one, but he's busy with other letters until August. I know having a complete application earlier increases my chances, so I was wondering if this would be too late. Should I just try asking another professor? Thanks in advance!

Try asking another professor, but it shouldn't be a problem if you already have at least two rec letters from science professors
