Would this count as clinical experience?

First time posting! I'm sorry this question gets asked pretty frequently, but I couldn't find an answer looking at other threads. I volunteer for the sexual assault program at my school as a medical advocate. As an advocate, I respond to pages and provide support for survivors at a local hospital who are there to receive SANE forensic exams. I'm not sure if I'm able to count this as clinical experience though? It is in a hospital setting, but I'm really only there to provide information about victims rights and for emotional support (I'm not actually providing medical attention). Thanks in advance 🙂

I think that'd count but maybe some consider it being in the gray-area between clinical and non-clinical. But tbh...

SDN seems to be overly neurotic about "X many clinical volunteering, X many non-clinical volunteering, etc." I had absolutely zero "clinical volunteering hours" and zero clinical paid-work hours and I'm matriculating at my dream school in August. The application process is a lot more holistic and encompasses way more than just the formula of arbitrary numbers people throw around on here.

Edit: lol I didn't mean to go off on that rant. I got a bit pissed because a friend seriously considered delaying their great application just because people on SDN said they needed X many more hours.

Makes sense, and congrats on getting into your dream school!
