I am very involved with the Newman Center (catholic organization) on my university campus and have done things such as cook food for the homeless, gone on mission trips, etc. Could I put this down on AMCAS as community service and can I clock in the number of hours I spend volunteering?

Would this count as non-clinical (hospital, etc.) volunteer work? Thanks in advance.

I already have a journal in which I log all my volunteer hours. So, I can use the Newman Center as my contact is what you're saying?

Exactly. You'd probably want to specify the person or the office in charge of coordinating the projects.

You might want to make it less obvious where you are coming from.... not that many people apply from your university and it's not that hard to identify.

I use my synagogue as a contact organization for all the Jewish stuff I do as the rabbi can vouch for all of it.
