To all got interviews already...congrats to you and best of luck to all of us.

I have one question regarding the interview process, can you bring the dentist who wrote your recommendation letter with you to the interview to personally recommend you in person? not stay the whole day but just a few momments with the doctors there? would it help if he just went to the school that he graduated from?

thanks

If he's already there to casually recommend you to his colleagues, MAYBE. But to bring him with you is absolutely tacky.

loooooooooool wut?

who would he be talking to? your interviewers?

"o this is my dentists, would it be ok if he came into the room with me during the interview to tell your school how awsome i am?"

hahahaha cant beat SDN sarcasm and humor LOL

actually this wasnt even my question...my dentist is the one who proposed the idea to me since he did it to somebody else and i guess it worked but i never heard of it being done before and i was a bit curious about it.

Im trying to use every advantage that can come through my way...thats all 🙂

thanks

Bringing him along with you to your interview is just WEIRD.

Completely agree with doc toothache here...

ALTHOUGH. ON THE OTHER HAND. If said dentist were to go around and do this on his own free time of his own accord, that would be a different matter. Having him beside you during any part of the interview is like amalgamgrillz said.... tacky.

I've had my dentist offering to call the schools I applied to promote me, but your dentist has another level of love for you.

Does he need someone to sell his practice to or something?

lolol.

Yeah... perhaps dentists are just crazy to begin with!

When I told my employer that I had an interview at school X, she was like, "I'm going to have to find out who this person is and talk to them"

And there I am thinking... I think you've done enough already by writing me a nice rec...

I plan to have a whole entourage of adovocates follow me around at interviews. Not only will they be talking me up - but also causing "trouble" for other candidates there.

Best move out of my way!

Do not bring him along. Have him phone the school and personally recommend you.
