Go to PCOM Ga interview. Unless you have attended an obscene number of interviews, there is no reason to sell yourself short.

Are you OK with living in the middle of nowhere. If yes do not go to PCOM GA if no then definitely go to PCOM GA

I'm okay with living in the middle of nowhere for 2 years. I've attended 3 interviews and already burnt out from the cash loss. Have another week to make the decision. Already put down the 1k deposit at KCOM because my interview was over a month ago, and I was very impressed. My only negative with KCOM is the distance from my family (13 hours vs 4 at PCOM Ga). I'm also single and a little worried KCOM will be filled with family folks according to info here on SDN

Going for EM so I don't think either location will play a major influence on my ability to obtain that.

I currently and interested in EM (along with a few other specialties I need to look more into) & I have been accepted to PCOM GA and am almost positive I will attend. I like it due to location (decently close to my family), it is near Atlanta for when you want to have fun, it looks like a safe/nice area, I was happy with the options for rotations 3rd and 4th year, etc.

It is kindof expensive but I do not know how much KCOM is but if you think you would be happier living in GA, then attend the interview to find out because it will be 4 years of your life. Personally, I just would not want to live in Kirksville

I personally wouldn't because I'll be happy with any acceptance, but you sound like you're getting mad love. At this point there's literally nothing to lose except a bit of travel money, and there's an awesome acceptance to gain.

Go to the PCOM GA interview!
I almost utterly screwed myself by thinking along the same lines as this. I cancelled my ACOM interview after an acceptance at LMU. Then I got accepted to another school, my top choice. I learned later that rotations are better at ACOM than LMU. I made the wrong decision and the only reason I'm not paying for it right now is due to the luck of getting one of my reaches.

This is a good example of why to go OP. You never know what you will end up liking about a school until you actually interview. Although in this case KCOM has the better rotations (I think) than PCOM-GA. If you have the money then I say go unless KCOM was your top choice

Agree with most of the above posters. If you can swing it financially, I say go to the interview if for no other reason than to quiet the doubts that may exist in your mind if you forego it. I learned a lot about the schools and what I myself am looking for at each and every interview I went to - often surprising things I wouldn't have been able to glean from online research or SDN commentary. You sound uncertain enough to post this on SDN, so I say you'd certainly benefit from seeing for yourself what PCOM-GA might have to offer. Why foreclose on it this early unless it would truly be a financial hardship?
