I would let my interactions with my assessment of her intelligence not her job. Some of the smartest, most conversationally engaging people I have met were not in ultra-intellectual fields. If you are fairly far into your medical degree (like, perhaps you are in clinicals and thats how you met), then that is fairly good measure that you are intelligent enough to confident with this medical student since you must have passed step 1.

so i want to say 2 things. i made a decision.

first i wanna say wtf is wrong with you people who can't understand what i'm going through?? troll this or troll that. eat a troll's foot. i'm posting something personal and keep getting attacked like its some joke.

no, i'm not insecure about my job or future career. if he had been an engineer at his same school or a lawyer...i would have happily said where i go to school and what i'm studying. but other doctors make this huge distinction in value if you cant get into an amg. and yeah it's more intimidating that he's at such a top school.

so for people who helped, my plan is to call things off - cancel plans for his day off this week and just see how i do...if i do amazing then I'll look him up if he's single in a year.

i can confirm. i was the guy.

once i saw her tanned skin, i knew her sun exposrue was not from US MD. i rejected her in my head but spared her the shut down. i am that damn good at everything

Stop being a coward. If you liked what you saw then go out with the guy and see what happens. You're basing everything on whether this guy looks down on you for not being US MD lmfao. For real? Is this real life right now? Stop listening to what anyone says, go out on his day off, if he ends up looking down on you solely for where you go to school then **** him. I mean one of my friends goes out with a girl who works at the mall lol. I do admit though, every night before bed, I say her name a few times in malice because of her job
 
Last thing before I sleep, if this is a guy who ( no one is) is going to only date people on a preconceived same level of "intelligence", then he will never date anyone. He's in a top 10 US MD school. So what is he going to do? Hunt down girls from 1-9? Stupid, this whole thread is stupid. I would only expect such a thread from an IMG :meanie:

whats so hard to get?? if the girl works at a mall, you dont have any basis for comparison. shes in a totally different field or whatever. but say you meet a girl out and youre talking and its all good and then you find out shes an img?? would you still think as highly of her? you definitely wont be as impressed as you were before

as a chick your education pedigree and occupation is far less important than your looks. as long as you aren't a HS dropout or something then it doesn't matter. going to a carib school is on the same level as having an MD/PhD from harvard which is on the the same level as being a kindergarten teacher. in fact, cute kindergarten teacher >>>> slightly less cute corporate attorney/plastic surgeon/investment banker any day of the week.

now if you're a dude it's a totally different story of course.

Here's the deal: If this guy who is in a top 10 school doesn't want to date an IMG, LEAVE IT ALONE. If you are interested in dating a doctor, there are lots of options. What about people from your own school? Other American schools? etc.
 
I understand why you are concerned, your thinking more a long the mind set of a female and assuming he is doing the same, i.e judging you based your your career goals, status, education, wealth, etc.

If he is anything like the 99% of guys I know, myself included, he could care less what school you went to or what the hell your doing with your life, if he even asks, he just pretending to be interested and trying to make conversation. Most guys have two criteria for dating a women, attractive and not an idiot.
 
NB. The "not an idiot" part can be waived under certain short term circumstances.
