Have a sore throat for a week, or runny nose for a month???

You can either a) answer this question b) come up with your own "would you rather" question, or c) all of the above.

p.s. i'm bored and this thread has the potential to be way more entertaining than reading about squid gonads and earthworm gizzards (i'm studying for zoology).

Its hard for me to think of just s ore throat or a runny nose. I look at the whole person and try to see them as more than a collection of symptoms.

Nothing's wrong with it, per se, but it's not nearly as eye-catching as the last one. I feel inspired to make you something better representative of you and your personality.

When i become a mod, my avatar will be an animated image of Richard Jadick saving the life of a soldier (while holding a medic bag of course) with a conversation bubble that reads "I'm a D.O. b****!"

edit: also in contention for my avatar was an "eye catching" picture of a nudibranch, a very colorful sea slug from the phylum Mollusca/class Gastropoda/ Order opistobranchia. google it and let me konw if that one is better. p.s. i hate zoology

Runny noses are annoying and a month is a long time. Sore throats suck, but a week is much shorter. I guess I'd rather suffer for a week with the sore throat.

this thread reminds me of a book called "zobmondo," which is a compilation of hundreds of 'would you rather' scenarios. it's actually pretty fun when you're bored, or even better, when studying zoo.

okay, so what if the length of sickness was equal? I would still go w/a runny nose any day, even if time of sickness is longer.

hahaha. those both equally suck, so i guess id go with the lesser duration. Vomiting it is. If they were equal in duratin, i'd go with the diarrhea.

well, if the length of the sickness was the same, the choice would be a bit tougher...i guess it would depend on how severe the sore throat is, since sore throats can range from annoying to absolutely intolerable. but chances are i would still go with the sore throat.

i'd go with the diarrhea too, since vomiting just sucks. plus with diarrhea, you're still pretty much able to eat food and somewhat keep it down, while vomiting leaves you starving without much of a choice.

and props to ryserr for having your fav food as your avatar, haha.

haha, Even tho i do like spicy food and peppers/jalepenos and such..... Serrano peppers are not my favorite food...... good guess tho.
