The former,

AA is the average of 5 scores, TS is just 3. AA can make up for a bad QR or something. Wouldn't you think so?

19TS 20AA.

A school told me that they (the school, not necessarily all schools) had a formula they used to grade applicants that had AA in it, had nothing to do with TS... so I will go with that one.
