Hey All,

I'm actually very impressed with AADSAS this year (not being sarcastic either). Although, I've never had a problem with them in previous years, they were just very slow. This year, however, I submitted my app on June 6th as well as sent off my transcripts and LORs the same day. all three LORs were received on June 13th and both sets of transcripts received on June 16th. AADSAS actually had my GPA verified today (June 19th). I guess I'm all set for the mailing. Just hope I'm included in the first batch.

GRRRR!!!! It's been two weeks and my stuff still hasn't been mailed. LOL. I have mixed feelings about AADSAS, fast verification of grades... but I hate seeing the "Printout not mailed" under my designated schools. GL indeed! I predict that the first mailing will be a crazy one for everyone, hope UPS doesn't mess things up *crossing fingers*.

I applied last year and it took AADSAS well over a month to calculate my GPA after recieving my transcripts. This cycle, they recieved my transcripts on June 16 and calculated my GPA today. Congrats to them...looks like they actually read a few of those surveys we filled out last year.

For what it's worth, I think the ADEA has changed some of their procedures to make applications run a bit smoother. On the post-grad level, PASS (the AADSAS counterpart) seems to be running much smoother this year from what I can tell. Hopefully things stay smooth for AADSAS and PASS!

Although, no one really knows, as I stated from a previous post, if the application wasn't out before May 15th, and transcript processing/verification takes approximately 6 weeks, then first mailings should occur by the end of June, early July. This is also based on previous years of applying.

However, transcript verification has definitely been much improved, so I do not know why it is taking so long. Perhaps, they need to hit a certain quota of applications before they can do a mass shipment? Who knows.

I don't know what I have to do to get them to receive one of my transcripts but I had it mailed for the 3rd time on monday. I sent multiple copies of some schools (just in case) and they are double listed on my application site. Not going good for me.

This is my third year applying and each year with AADSAS has just gotten better and better. 🙂 I submitted my application on the 16th and everything is complete as of today. Did you all notice the barcodes on the printed forms? Can't remember if that is new this year, but it looks like someone is really getting things organized over there. They've lost one of my transcripts twice! I had all transcripts sent out by May 19th and my gpa is yet to be verified because they are waiting to receive one of my transcripts for the third time. Personally, I think the word "service" should be omitted from the "American Associated Dental School Application SERVICE" title. They are of no "service" to me, I could have walked the transcripts to the dental schools faster! I'm going bald at 22....
