I just got the following email:

Thank you for your email to AMCAS. Your application has been processed. Each of your medical schools is now receiving the full materials based on their individual deadline dates.

Please let us know if you have any additional concerns

Thank you for contacting us.

Well, if your application in the "print application" screen has a date after "Date Processed" then I think you can safely assume it's for real. How long did it take them? And did you have to threaten them to get them to work on your app?

Well I've had that date processed entry as of October 19th now so I had assumed they had sent everything out since then! I submitted on 6/26. I spoke to Nancy on the phone which lead to not much. Then I sent a nice threatening-to-use-a-lawyer letter and got results the next day. But I think they did send stuff out around the 19th because Mount sinai, JHU and Wash U all said (the latter I verified via status check website) they had everything...and those were the schools I had been waiting on for a while. Btw, the "date submitted" column on the amcas app never changed in concordance with this email that amcas sent me, so who knows what they were sending at those times.

Now that I think about it, I think it just takes them a while to send out their e-mail confirmation of verification. I do like the tone of the e-mail they sent you, though. Very polite and respectful. That's what threatening to use a lawyer gets you. (I even got a phone call from Nancy from her home on a Friday night!) I think that line about sending things out based on schools' deadlines is new, though, and I don't like it one bit. They should be sending your app to every school you've designated the minute you're processed.

Ohh, I'm soo excited! I emailed Nancy on Monday to tell her that I submitted July 5 (EDP) and could they PLEEEZE verify me soon? She just emailed me back today...

Lori: I am asking that your application be expedited to Verification for
processing.
Please accept my apology for the delay in processing your AMCAS application.
