this topic seems to cycle - people get all excited a few times a year on this topic and then it dies down.
Although it does emphasize why physiatrists and physiatry residents should support their specialty societies and national medical societies in advocating for scope of practice issues...
It is easy to dismiss these people as radical or outliers but I agree with DrRusso, we have to make sure we support our national societies because with as much stuff as we have to fight it is easy to let things fall through the cracks. Unfortunately we are often fighting our own (physiatrists/neurologists training PT or techs to do EMG).
Unchecked these people will undermine and likely destroy everything physicians have worked for.
