I'm almost done with my first rotation of 3rd year, and it is an inpatient state hospital. I'm enjoying the rotation and may be hooked. This specialty is so rich with humanity and mental intrigue. I'm just wondering now if this is a match for me or if I'm the type of person to be swayed by every rotation? It throws a wrench in some of my existing plans, but I still have time to figure things out. Thought you would all like to know one student thinks your job kicks butt.

Glad you like it. "Existing plans" in August of 3rd year are meaningless.

I thought the same thing. I enjoyed psych immensely.....Then I got to OB/GYN and found out the answer to that question is a resounding NO.
