The reason I even chimed in with the long post that I did was because the previous poster was wavering on the idea of going into medicine because all he/she saw was the bad things being posted about it...why add needless antagonism to the mix?

Advice: If you have no interest in research, then do not go to a med school that is part of a large, big-name university hospital. If you think that you do have interest in research, then work in the private sector for at least 3 years before applying.
