Being Pre-med, I am obviously very interested in medicine, but also the economics behind how it's delivered.

I'm a rising senior and want to do my Senior thesis on how how the creation of healthcare giants through mergers are resulting in monopolistic practices, increasing cost of healthcare in the United States and making care less accessible. Obviously, many medical schools are affiliated with and benefit from the huge healthcare networks that I will be criticizing, from Harvard and Partners Healthcare to Hofstra and Northwell Health, amongst many others.

As such, I'm wondering how adcoms would react to me doing a thesis on something critical of a practice that they likely benefit from. Would it be viewed down upon or could it actually be an interesting point of discussion during interviews?

You are under no obligation to reveal the existence of your thesis if you are concerned the topic would be perceived negatively.
