writing DAT on July 11

I am writing DAT on July 11th. i am in school all summer, so I am thinking about writing it at the end of July and give myself more time to study. But is it late? will it affect my application?

Don't worry, I am thinking about taking early August.
I have a friend who took it on september and still got in but I think that's still late.
I think august is perfect time for me.

Someone in the pre-dental forum asked pretty much the same question...take a look:

Looks like the general consensus is that pretty much any time in July and you should still be in the early group, especially since the application is opening 2 weeks later than it did last year.
