I heard from someone that it was technically legal and perfectly ethical to write down equations or whatever during the 10 or 15 instructions for the PS section rather than spending the time reading the aamc testing instructions. Is this right? Does anyone know of the legality of this strategy and whether the proctors pass out the scratch paper at the beginning of the test?

I spent a few minutes jotting down some equations before the physical section. I think it's ok to do-- and it really helped me to calm down and focus. good luck! 👍

At the location where I wrote, I'm pretty sure the envigilator said that writing on the scratch paper during the tutorial, or during the breaks was not allowed. Could be wrong though.

Doesn't seem like its worth it unless you know it will help your confidence. But put it this way, you aren't going to automatically forget things you've learned in the past few months of studying in that 5-10 minutes of tutorial.
