Hey guys,
im looking for some advice. so before the exam starts, am i able to write out some notes for the science section? and if so, when exactly do i do this? is there an alloted time for this?
ALSO, more importantly, if i can write notes out.......where do i write them??? meaning, do we only get ONE whiteboard where id have to cram all my information and maybe smudge it up while solving actual problems or can i write my notes out on a seperate whiteboard and keep it to the side to refer to when i need it? same for writing notes out before the reading comp and QR sections. I'm just confused as to how many white boards they supply us with at a time.
if anybody could answer this for me, id REALLLLLLLY appreciate it!!!! thank you so much!!!!!!!!

I got two laminated sheets of graph paper (front and back) w/ 2 markers and one eraser.

You can write stuff for the first half during the DAT tutorial, just don't click next. For example, I wrote down my 15 "tic-tac-toe" boxes for hole punching during the tutorial.

For the second half (after the break)...I finished the PAT section with like 7 minutes left, even after checking marked questions, so I used the extra time to write down math formulas, and 1-50 for the reading...then the 15min break started. Don't feel like you have to rush through the PAT to have time to write stuff for the second half though, 15 minutes is a long break. I rushed through mine thinking it was short, but I ate a granola bar, had a drink of gatorade, went to the bathroom and got back in and there was still 8 minutes left, so I just sat there and breathed deeply to calm down before the reading section.

Good luck!

what is this 15 box tic-tac-toe thing you speak of? Could you post, link, or PM me a pic by chance?

and do you have any advice for getting better at angle ranking?

Just draw 3 vertical lines and 3 horizontal lines...which will give you 16 squares (same as hole punching)

No I don't. Just don't give up on them...process of elimination. Get it down to two, then best guess

so, just to sure, you cant write anything during the break? thanks in advance!

You can do whatever you want during your break...you can not take it if you don't want.

Use the break to your advantage..

oh ok cool. so you fill in the holes an you mentally unfold the papers so you can keep track

i was wondering about writing down formulas, too. I have many for the math section. So we can take the paper out during the break and write the formula down? thats not cheating right? and is there enough room to write everything down? I have been practicing on a white board and there isnt so much space there...oh well. God bless us all.

good luck on the test! im taking mine soon too.

At my testing center I was not allowed to write anything down. No notes or anything. The testing center guy came up to me as I was writing down notes during my 15 minute break and said it was against the rules, and I had to erase everything. 🙁 Maybe it depends on your location.

thats so gay👎thumbdown👎thumbdown👎 i hope my place isnt like that. since its tmrw, i cant reschedule either way:xf::xf::xf:

You are allowed to write on your scratch paper/laminated paper in any fashion you like during the testing period. This includes the 15 minute tutorial and the 15 minute break. However, you may not refer to any notes or anything.

I used the tutorial time to get accommodated to the testing environment and to write down some GC formulas and constants, some IR and NMR values, and numbers to ATP/NADH/etc for various cycles for Bio. I also used one side of my second sheet to make my cube counting tables and my hole punching grids. For any extra space available I wrote down "a b c d e" so I can physically cross out answer choices, since there is not an option to do so on the test (contrary to what Achiever insisted! 😡)

I used the break period to make a unit circle, write down some permutation formulas, and make 3 columns numbered 1-20 to jot down RC notes for each passages questions.

There is enough room to write down many things - DEPENDING on how fine tipped your markers are. My place had horrible markers that were so soft tipped that i had to write big to be able to read what I wrote... it was mad annoying...

cube counting tables?

hey what do you guys write down on your white board for reading comprehension? just 1-50 and cross off the ones you've answered?

WTF, you should have punched him in the balls. A nice uppercut would have resulted in cooperation.
