wRVU at academic position

Anyone has idea on what would be a decent wRVU threshold at an academic position as a neurohospitalist? I have had offers at ~2700 but it seems like per AAN benmark data, the median wRVU as neurohospitalist in academic position is at around 2500.

oh I meant it as a threshold that one would need to go over for the productivity bonuses

(also knowing what a good rate per wRVU would be great in northeast region as academic position)

Per my discussion with the hospital CFO, the average encounter for inpatient neuro at my place is worth 2.5 wRVUs (new, follow up, stroke alert, etc)

Applying this to your situation, you’d need 1000 encounters a year or about 6 a day for 7/7 schedule to reach that threshold.

I think anything above $70 per RVU is good for academia
