So I am in a predicament here. I recently transferred from a community college to a four year univ, and I completely underestimated the degree of difficulty here and I feel like I have signed up for too many classes. I am currently taking:

Orgo w/ lab
Phys w/ lab
Honors Genetics
Human Situation ( an honors 6 hour credit course that takes up 459804985043 hours of my time)=18 hrs.
and I am currently doing 15 hours a week of research.
plus working part time.

My issue here is that I mentally feel like I am capable of doing this however, I have Rheumatoid arthritis and Hypothyroidism and since attending this huge campus, my flare ups have gone through the roof. I am in continuous pain to the point I can barely walk properly at times or hold a pen.

I spoke with my Pre-med advisor about dropping a course (genetics) due to medical reasons and he informed me by telling me that if the Adcoms ask me why and I let them know of my medical condition, that I could potentially harm my chances of getting into medical school. He argues that because of my condition it may make them question my academic capabilities.

I already have one W on my transcript but as of now my GPA is a 4.0 from my previous college and I am worried that if I add another W I could further diminish my chances. Should I go ahead and drop? Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks a million.

I would drop That 6 credit course but if you can't Genetic would be good. It's not really a good idea to drop a Pre-req course.

I can't drop the 6 hour course since its a two part course and the earlier i'm finished with it the better. I need it to graduate with honors. I think I'm just going to drop genetics and take it another semester or the summer. Thank you for all yall's help!
