Hi Everyone,
How bad do Ws look on your transcript. I have 7 Ws on my transcript but most of them are from sociology classes and only 2 of them are from science classes. I was wondering how bad do these look?

They look bad, but if you have a legitimate reason for why you withdrew you should be fine. I received 3 acceptances 7 interviews and I have 4 W's and 1 F.

If you have good DAT scores, that should help compensate for the W's.

7? That honestly does not look good at all and would raise a big red flag in my opinion.

I'm not gonna comment on how bad those W's look (because I really don't know), but how were they distributed over your undergrad years? On average one W per semester, 3 in one semester, or...?

How'd you get 7? We only get 6. Maybe's our rules is a Texas thang.

One is no big deal, two may or may not be overlooked. If you have more than that, your reason will need to be better than simply fear of receiving a poor grade in the class.

I had some issues with my schools administration, and I dropped two classes later on in my college career. I had 5 Ws total and applied to only the three Texas schools- and I still got 2 interviews and one acceptance so far.

As long as you have a good upward trend and a reasonable explanation (not an excuse) behind the dropped classes, you should be good.
