has anyone gotten anything from ucla besides the confusedone. Anyone has any inside info on how many they have interviewed already? I am kind of getting nervous that my own school is giving me the shaft. Thanks a lot.

i would think that a person from ucla undergrad with solid stats would have an upper hand over other undergrad. I did get this info talking to dental students there. Plus, we are more likely to attend given acceptance, cuz we got ucla pride!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am telling you. You gotta relax!!! UCLA doesn't start the bulk of its interviews until after December. Calm down, and stop expecting it. Quit jumping to conclusions and thinking that you're getting shafted. If you check the mail everyday waiting for the interview you will go crazy. It will happen.

i have no ucla pride. i currently attend that school, and i hate to see a bunch of hippies protesting in front of powell. my goodness. he got tazed. big whoop. if an idiot does not cooperate and follow school policies, then he should know what's coming. ok, fine. admittedly, tazing was a little too much, but the idiot should listen to the cops and get the hell outa the library if he doesn't and refuses to show his ID. moe ron.

ya, i guess soon as a person is indian/iranian/hispanic, anything but white, everyone loves playing the racial cards. I have love for the facilities, not much for the people...as weird as it sounds. I am going to miss the buildings when I am out of there.

same here. playing the race card is totally lame. UCLA of all schools is SATURATED with indians and persians. the school accepts based on merit so it's VERY diverse. in such a diverse school, preferential treatment is hardly the cause of any drama.

uh, ok....i happened to be at that protest, and last time i checked i don't have long hair, wear a tie-dye t-shirt or smoke a joint.

and it never was about the guys race, had you been at the protest you would have known that.

i dunno...i guess a real human being would have some objection to UCPD tasering a guy 6 times as he was making his way out, threatening to taser anyone who asked for their names and badge numbers, and tasing the guy TWICE while he was handcuffed. sounds quite inhumane to me...

in fact if anything, the whole deal would have been a blown even more out of proportion if he was white, no doubt about it.

anyway, there ends my rant. lets hope this doesn't merit a thread closing by our esteemed moderators

i totally agree with you. and i respect bruinpredent for not making it into a race issue. some people on the facebook group are trying to make it that though. oh well.

a few of my pre-dent friends recently interviewed at UCLA, they're really strong applicants...but I thought I was too, i'm still waiting
