I heard somewhere on this site that WVSOM is going to start accepting students who have over a certain gpa and mcat score without even interviewing them. Is that true? I can't find anything about it online anywhere.

Sounds a bit fishy to me.

actually, it is an option at some schools. At the University of Toledo's med school, you can get on their fast track program if you are a junior in college and have a 3.7 GPA and scored at least a 29 on your ACT in high school. If, after an interview, they accept you, you don't have so much pressure from the MCAT on your shoulders. Interesting approach- more beneficial for some as compared to others. Actually, in their brochure it says the MCAT requirement 'is waived'.

Oh ok. So its not an option for graduated students then? I already took the mcat and I graduate in December.

WVSOM used to have this in place years ago if I recall correctly.

Haven't heard about this from admissions. I just talked to them a few weeks ago and they said they received 3800 applications this past year for 200 slots. I don't think they're going to fast track anyone.
