WVSOM- primary then interview?

I have a question on how WVSOM works...so when you send them your primary application they will wait to send you a secondary until after interviewing you? Is this correct I just want to make sure.

What about the area is it really nice? Any general advice about the school?

No, the way I get it, their is actually no secondary, they just invite you for an interview. I didn't apply their, but my friend did.

I guess it depends. They give you an interview invite, but require you to send a secondary. The above poster's friend may have had a 28+ MCAT and thus probably went through the fast track process.

yep, they send you your secondary with your interview invitation. i visited wvsom a few weeks ago and posted about it here -- you can probably find it if you do a search. the area is nice but isolated. if you're single, then i think the area would be great. it's in a beautiful location with nearby mountains and lots of outdoor activities. also, the town itself is charming with historic buildings, decent restaurants and neat little stores -- it's definitely not your usual dumpy small town with just a walmart and a pizza hut. the campus and the people are all nice.

so, the downsides are the isolated location, which might not be a downside depending on your circumstances. also, the school places a strong emphasis on rural primary care and requires you to do more family practice rotations than other schools do. and, of course, the tuition is really high for out of state students.
