From what I've heard, almost no schools will review applications in June. Administrators have vacation then.

I'd be surprised if any school reviewed apps before July. The earliest they get released is mid-June, so submitting at the end of June shouldn't be the end of the world.

I was under the impression you COULD submit grades before your Spring ones came out....??

You could submit them in May, provided they include your spring 2013 grades (for example my grades from the spring have already posted to my transcript).

Its also not super clear. Its possible if you are a post-bac or senior, you could submit your transcripts as you are past the Spring semester of your Junior year that they also mention, but to be safe, just wait for your spring grades to show up on your transcript before sending them in.

I have been out of school for a year. The spring grades will just be 2 extra courses to satisfy prereqs.

I'm thinking about pushing my MCAT to July, because I'm not ready and I want to concentrate on getting all A's this semester. Should I still submit my apps in June for AACOMAS and AMCAS, or wait until after the MCAT? Would schools still look at my app and give me a secondary without my score posting until August?

Submit early. 🙂

Don't worry. I was in the same boat as you last year at this time. I had everything ready to go, submitted my application, then submitted a transcript request for when the grades were posted.

Then I waited... and waited... and waited...

The good news is that I was still in one of the first interview days for all the schools that I interviewed at, and had interviews (that I canceled) scheduled all the way through January.

I had two acceptances by the end of October, and a third one by the end of November. That is a really good place to be at.

Bottom line: submit as early as you can. You will keep your place at the head of the line, but if your last transcript is not there, then others will bypass you. When your transcripts do arrive, you retain your place at the head of the line and you get processed right away.

good luck to all that are applying.

Does anyone know how to go about entering a winter term? I took a few winter terms and they show up on the transcript as part of the spring term, but aacomas has an option to enter it as a winter term. I looked through the instructions but couldnt find anything. At this point I'm assuming just enter everything as it appears on the transcript?

Enter everything the way the transcript says it. It's the best way to avoid problems.
