I got into KCUMB!! It was a bit of a long shot, but I wanted to tell people because it could help them.

For all of you wondering if you have a chance despite not being perfect with a 4.0 and 35 MCAT:

Don't let anyone discourage you from reapplying.
Don't let anyone discourage you from applying over the age of 30.
Don't let anyone discourage you from applying if you have a family.
And don't ever let anyone discourage you just because you had a rough shot at college at first.

I had all of these things supposedly going against me, and I got in through hard work, determination, and perseverance.

CONGRATS!!! IT'S A GREAT FEELING!! 😀 😀

Nice work! I'm waiting to hear back from my interview on Sept. 28. I imagine I'll see you in the fall!

Nothing encourages non-trad URM's like me more than to see success like yours!!!!!! I can't wait to apply next year! Congrats!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I remember you sat next to me in the alumni center that morning. I bet you will hear tomorrow, or the next day if you are on the west coast. Mail travels from KC to Springfield, MO in a day, so they must have mailed them yesterday. Good luck!

Good job bro! I too am non trad with a family and was accepted back in mid september. As more time passes I am leaning more towards attending KCUMB. I just may see you there next fall.

yea, i'm finally in. and to think i was going to withdraw from this school....that would have been a huge oopsie. btw, it's a great feeling, although getting my mcat score on June 20 was pretty good as well. August people, what is it? like two weeks or something?

Yea, no kidding. A one week turn around is ridiculously fast. I must have interviewed on the last day of their two week interview schedule.... Best of luck to you. It's such an easy interview day!
