I submitted my my app and LORs like 2 weeks ago and the status page still doesn't show that they received anything--not even MCAT scores!
What the hell is happening? Is everyone waiting this long to see any progress?

Also, does anyone know if there's a link to check your status on the columbia/hopkins websites?

Yale was slow to update my status, but that was a long time ago, since I applied early.

Also, you can't check your Columbia/Hopkins status online; they'll send you emails when you're complete.

lors could take a few days to be sent and up to two weeks to get through the receiving school's mail system. i dont believe yale's mail system is that slow though.

If it makes you feel better, my check to them cleared three weeks before the page updating my status said I had paid/was complete Mind you, this was about two weeks after sending in all the materials - that's five weeks. Hang on, it'll get done.

today, the receipt of my LORs has finally been acknowledged on the status page.

however, the space that says "application complete and in review on:" is still blank! 😡 👎

so what, there's going to be a f***ing waiting period for this step, too?!? what the hell?

Yep. For mine, it's letters received August 2nd, MCAT received July 8th, application complete and under review SEPTEMBER 1ST. So it did take them a looooong while for me.

actually, i could have sworn IndyZX said his file was "complete, etc."

i did a search on all the previous SDN threads bitching about yale's slowness/status pages/etc, and it seems as though there may still be a waiting period of a week or more after your file is complete for them to actually consider it "complete and in review". that or its considered complete and in review right away, but they just don't update their status page as such--which would seem to be consistent with previous events.

oh, and i see that VFrank is complete, too.

also, even though they just now (9/9) acknowledged my LORs, it says they recevied them on 8/13. by VFrank's timeline, i sould be complete sometime early next week. we'll see...

yeah, they reviewed mine a long time ago, august 9th, i think. no word back yet.

Huh? I'm here at Yale and I'll admit they're a little slower than most schools when it comes to admissions. No big deal, it's just the way things go. Don't worry, guys, they'll get around to it!

Hm, they received my letters 8/20 and started reviewing it on 8/25. Haven't heard from them since though.

does anybody know when yale starts to send out interview invites? the status page says they send the invitations by email between september and march. not that i'm holding my breath or expecting one, just curious.

Last year the first batch of people posting about interviews was around 9/15. I would looooooooooove to hear from Yale... 😍 😍 😍

My LORs were sent out last week of July and they're still not updated on Yale's status page. I called to see if I should have them re-sent, but the lady told me that I they do NOT want duplicate materials. She said they would let me know if my file is still incomplete when they've updated everything. God knows when that will happen.

yay my LORs are finally updated today! it says received on 8-2-04 on the status page...lol, took them long enough to update it!

by the way, I still have a "no" on the complete and in review part...

they recently updated my status with LORs as well and it said "no" for in review. But a day or two later, it turned to "yes". So no need to worry.

I still don't have a date for LORs received either. Nor is mine in review. I submitted it in early July. My letters were sent one month ago. I wonder if I should email them. The only thing stopping me is their bold, all-caps instructions NOT to bug them. But hey, when should I give up and just contact them?

Yeah, it looks like they must update only on certain days. Mine shows complete on 9/14 as well. My LORs were sent back in August, and it say they were recevied on Aug 25 or something.
