Just wanted to let you all know that I received an email from Yale the other day requesting an interview where they explicitly stated that they have been having problems with Hotmail accounts (they said that this was the 3rd time they had sent out this batch of interview requests). So if you applied to Yale and you have a Hotmail account, be patient. My file was complete and in review on August 16. Who knows how long they've been trying to contact me.
Do what you want with this info. Personally, I wouldn't email or call them to ask about my status because they do, after all, have our phone numbers so they would hopefully try to call us if all email attempts fail. But if you applied awhile back and haven't heard, just know that they could be emailing you as we speak.
