I can not find any info on Yale at all--I have an interview coming up and would like to know a bit more than what is on their web site. I wrote to the program, checked scutwork.com, and checked AMA's Freida. There just isn't much out there.

I heard there was a heavy research emphasis at the program. Do they encourage psychotherapy? If you have had aninterview there, pls share with me what you would. What are the work hours like? Call schedule? Any other info would be appreciated.

Only info Ive seen is on this site in past interview feedback threads. But it's very subjective and not too helpful, as people seem to be split down the middle between either loving or hating Yale.

A former classmate of mine is a PGY-2 at Yale. For her internship year anyway, the VA experience was like any other VAH she had been too. Yale has 6 months on medicine. Half of the residents are at Yale, the other half are at St. Raph's, a community hospital located in town. Tradeoffs, St. Raph's was a cush schedule, no 24 call, only to 9:30 or 10, but it was not the greatest teaching experience. She did her medicine months at Yale, and while the hours were a lot more intense, she wouldn't have traded it after the fact, due to the great teaching, and the exposure to IM residents, many who were her hang out friends after work. So, for what it's worth, a little more info on the internship year.
