Yale SMEP or any mcat prep SMEP

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i did the yale smep this summer....i think it was a great mcat prep program...

sure it had it's faults..for example, this year was the first they were teaching physics, so it was a bit rough.

the program does have a lot more to offer than mcat prep...just the experience and the people you meet in general

the mcat track was really good in allowing students enough time to study outside of class

all in all, its a good prog. there's even a writing and comm. class that went beyond my expectations, helping me write a really great personal statement.

these prog. have been around for 10+ years...so they're very organized and experienced....
like i said before though....they all have they're weak areas
but then again, for not having to pay for an mcat prep course, and have a really good time in new haven, CT, AND being paid $600....I LOVED IT

Has anyone done an SMEP for their mcat preparation? How effective are the programs? Thanks

I am curious to know what is so good about yale's program that you only mention theirs as an option? Or is that SMEP the closest one to you?

Not sure for MCAT prep, but the Rice/Baylor SMEP is alot of fun! If you are shadowing a surgeon you actually get to scrub in with him and in many ways assist with small procedures....I had a blast. There is no MCAT prep though. You do take two MCAT's though!
