For those of you who are going to stay on the waitlist for Yale, what are you going to put for the date you would like to be considered until? It's kind of strange that they want you to put a limit on how long you want to be on the waitlist. Due to my circumstances, I really need to know mid june at latest, but I feel like if I put that down, it will lower my chances of admittance. Do you think it makes me look like I'm less interested if I limit the time? What are others putting down and what do you think?

just put down that you'll stay on until class starts, then withdraw your application in mid-june if necessary.

I'm going to be in Southern Africa as a volunteer in July, so I'd really like to know by mid-June as well, but Yale is my first choice, so I'd be willing to go there even if offered admission in August. I don't know if the date you put down would limit your chances, but I'd say be as honest as you can, while still keeping your options as open as possible. Good luck!

speaking of the yale waitlist, does anyone know if they'll be giving us tentative financial aid packages? I like Yale, but I wouldn't stay on the waitlist if I found out that the bill was much higher than the school that I also like and got into in the first round.
