Did anyone hear anything from Yale. I submitted my application in August, + certification and check and everything, and the status has not been updated. I called them and Veronica said they could not look because it would be too complicated. Their deadline is October 15th though. What should I do?

i guess it wouldn't hurt to call again, just make sure they know that u sent in your stuff almost 2 months ago and ur status hasn't changed online

Yale finished me off in about 3 weeks after I sent out the secondary and stuff, and that was in early season! so I suspect you have a little while to wait. Even after you are complete though, it took almost a month to get the interview offer, so I'm fairly certain they are slowly moving through.

Also, I think Yale's Oct 15th deadline refers to the AMCAS (primary) app, not the secondary. I could totally be wrong on this, but generally schools have deadlines of December/January for their secondary apps.

Oct. 15th is indeed the just the AMCAS deadline, so you're fine on that front. I would call and ask about resubmitting the secondary and certification form (maybe wait on the check?)...

Yale hadn't updated my status page for AAAAAGES, so I emailed them about it and voila! The very next day I got an email from them saying that there was a mistake, my file is complete and has been sent to the adcom.......Now if only I had emailed earlier!!

No. but you cannot rely on AMCAS to get it right, nor can your rely on your secretary to send your stuff, or their secretary to get it right. once confirmed by the school, you should sit back and relax.

I was waiting on Yale to acknowledge the committee letter my school had sent them for 2 months, and I finally told my committee to send it again. This time, the letter was sent on the 8th, it was marked received on the 10th and I got an interview invite on the 16th. I say, check on your stuff! I wish I had resent my letter earlier!
