recently ive been quite apprehensive about medical school and just about everything else in my life. Grades have been mediocre, extracurriculars havent been so spectacular either... just generally being a worry wart about life, needless worrying i'm sure.

well, today things have taken a turn for the better! i had been trying to get some good research going to no avail. seemed like every professor at this university had labs filled with people, and no place for me. I met a new professor at the beginning of the year, i attempted to become a part of his lab also, but he sort of brushed me off. But, I was persistent and just today i visited his office and he now wants me to work in his lab for the next 2.5 years, hes going to help get me some fellowships and grant money so i can stay here over the summers also! this is some really exciting research, right up my alley too. I couldnt be happier! 😀

just thought id share my good news.

Congratulations! Sounds like a great opportunity.

that's great! i remember how happy i was when a prof agreed to have me work with him. 2.5 years is a good amount of time (if you like it!) maybe you'll get your name on some papers!

good luck. :luck:
