Ok so I typed a long breakdown and SDN logged me out 😡

here is goes again!!!

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO much allll you guys for your help and motivation. I know I COULD NOT HAVE done it without SDN

I am very glad it is over and I am very happy with my scores. This was teh second time taking it so here are my scores:

1st 2nd
PAT 19 20
QR 15 20😀
RC 17 22
BIO 17 24😱😀
GC 16 19🙄 ehh whtever
OC 20 21
TS 17 21
AA 17 21

PAT-----it wasnt that bad. Quite doable. There were about 3-4 questions in Keyholes, TFE and PAttern folding which were definitely like wth. Rest were very do-able. ANgles were mixed.

I used CDP 10 test version to prepare---my score went from 16-22. 👍 ACHIEVER WAS TOO HARD VS DAT

QR------it wasn't too hard. There were 3-4 questions which i knew i wont be able to do and so i just guessed on them. Nothing too hard just weird probability stuff. I did all questions----had 1 min left. I was expecting more but I am happy. I used destroyer, TS and achiever for practice.

RC----I had vision, crocodile then fungi. FUNGI was easy. It is simply worded and well organized. Vision was very weird for me. crocodile was ok.

BIO------I was shocked😱 with this score. I thgt i will get 18ish. I am very happy. I studied the most for this section---i felt i left no stone unturned. KBB, Princeton GRE BIO, Kaplan GRE bio, cliffs ap bio, did quizzes at the end of every chapter plus 2 tests at end of cliffs bio, barrons flash cards and sparkcharts flash cards. It was definitely random but do-able with logical elimination.

GC-----mostly conceptual very very few calculations. There were many random conceptual problems which i had never seen--so i knew i didnt do well. But I am not best at GCHEM so I am ok with 19. I used destroyer, chads vids TS and achiever for practice

OC-----I thought I did a lot better than 20. I dont knwo what I got wrong 🙁 It was easy. I used KAPLAN MCAT Ochem, destroyer, roadmaps 👍 TS and achiever

SO over all it was great and I am happy I am done. Now attack the secondary applications.

I have the following question for you guys:

1. What are my chances of UOP? my overall gpa is 3.4 and science is 3.0. I have 400+ hours of volunteering and shadowing dentist in a clinic.
2. will they send my old dat scores to the schools too?
3. DO I NEED to send my old DAT scores??

I hope the breakdown helped----to all those studying good luck. HArdwork pays off. AFter my 1st dat I was very demotivated and thought this was impossible----it took me a while to pull myself together and try it again. I thought I was too stupid. But this is not too bad. I am not a genius---i just worked very hard. I studied 2.5 months.

Good luck to all you guys 😀

Way to go.
I have been seeing you posting for sometimes now. I am glad you did well, and I am so jealous of your QR.
Have fun now......😴 and do not forget to catch up on all summer movies

Wooow, good job buddy, for what its worth I knew you were gonna kill it. Enjoy whats left of ur break!🙂

We did it!!!

Funny how we meet on a forum and not at the school we went to for exactly 4 years.

I think all your scores are sent.
Don't worry, they'll see that you really are persistent and willing to go through that much more to improve your scores.

I'm doing my secondaries too. Don't forget to FAX your unofficial. So far, Midwestern does it, Maryland does it, NYU does it. UCLA does NOT, Arizona does NOT, Boston does NOT.

So, you have received your secondary from NYU. How's that possible, when on their website, they say that secondaries are given to people who are invited for interview on the same day they're going to be interviewed?

Yeah I am about to call the schools and check that too. I had not applied to UCLA initially because I though my gpa is too low for them. Now i am thinking if i should. I also applied to like 20 schools---i dont know if i cant now pick and choose about 10 to send my stuff to so I save money. You think with a 3.4 over all and 3.0 science i can afford to do that?

I believe the average gpa for UCLA is 3.6 so your 3.0 science gpa is definitely below what they're looking for! But if you think it's a school where you wanna go don't let me stop you from applying!

Yeah I really wanna go there. I went there for undergrad and I have absolutely been in love with that school. Lets see though I am deciding---i also want to be practical about this thing.

Oh yea?! I went there for undergrad too, and I absolutely love that school. But it ain't easy getting into their dental school!!!!
Good luck though!👍

i believe they send all your DAT scores along with the package.
In regards to UOP you're gpa is not horrendously bad.

UOP is not really a school that is entirely big on numbers relative to how much interest that you have shown in the school. they're big on alumni and also how much interest you express and keep in touch with them.

your DATs will pull up your chances and hopefully you submitted your applications before you took the DATs because they fill their classes extremely early by i believe even early as late october, don't quote me on that but yeah early though. hope that helps.:xf:

Thank a lot. I am soooo much for UOP because I live very close to Sanfrancisco. Also UOP has a 3 year program which really appeals to me---cultural pressures---dont even ask ---🙁 being an Indian girl from a semi conservative family doesnt help---my parents have been waiting for me to be done since I finished high school---lol

Hey great scores... improvement.. I took my day two weeks ago and bombed PAT.. I was jusy wondering how far apart were your DATs.. I am gona have to retake, so just trying to develop a plan...thanks

Mine was actually almost a year apart. After I took it last year I didnt even want to take it again so gave up the idea. But then I decided I will take it again in June and started studying mid june.

It wasnt helpful spacing it so far apart. Had I known right away that I will take it again then I definitely would have because the material is still fresh in your head and you just have to keep studying on the areas you are weak/have not even covered, instead of starting from scratch.

Good luck👍

thanks... is CDP sufficient for PAT?... I used the 5 test version and dont know wat went wrong on the real thing. I am soo mad cuz have to retake just bcuz of it.... but can do anything to be more competitive... do u have any PAt secrets?

Ya i thought CDP was enough---I had the 10 test version though and i think 10 tests are a must in addition to achiever and top score.

You really have to go back and see what you got wrong and try to understand those --try to picture them in you head. WIthout doing that you are not learning anything new.
