Year 3 and 4 rotations time commitment

So after a couple of interviews and hearing classes are from 8-12 lab from 1-5 and study from 6-12 during years 1 and 2, has anyone heard what the schedules are like during years 3 and 4 rotations? This will be the fun part but I'm wondering if you work similar hours to the doctors you are working with or is it all over the board. No one has mentioned this at any school I've interviewed with.

Hold onto your shorts 😱 . Your hours will be slightly better than those of the residents'.
Surgery is the worst (in the ballpark of 85 hours a week) . Everything else will seem pretty fair in comparison.
You'll learn to love anything that is outpatient 😍 .
Keep in mind, it won't seem as long if you love that particular rotation.
I could have spent every waking moment in the ER and not cared. Psych, on the other hand, dragged on 'cause I hated it.

4th year is smooth sailing compared to 3rd because you'll be doing more elective rotations. Alot of med. students i trained with saved their vacation time for their fourth year too. They used it to study for USMLE and go to residency interviews. So it doesn't have to be two full years of back to back to back rotations.

hope that helps. don't put the horse before the carriage though, focus on the 1st two years though.

During year 3 , you will be at the hospital anywhere from 5:30-8:00 a.m. -4-6p.m. depending on the rotation and not including being on call. The 4th year schedule is usually a lot easier, because mostly electives. I am a 4th yr. and most people agree that it is the best of all your med school years. At our school, during the 4th yr, we have 14wks of vacation included (for boards, and interviewing).
