Year/8 credits med school requirement

I have noticed a bunch of schools require 1 year of Physics and explicitly say "8 semester hours". I majored in engineering and we had two semesters of Physics, specific to engineering students, that were 6 hours total (including lab). How strict are schools on the 8 semester hours requirement?

I attached a screenshot of what is recommended by my undergraduate university's pre med office. I graduated a few years ago and took 121 and 123.

So I would call or email the schools and ask and say you only have six credits of that physics but have additional credits with x,y, z is that sufficient.
i'm guessing it will be fine
