Honestly, it seems both options would be acceptable so long as only those 2 years are listed. One thing I MUST stress is that some med schools don't accept AP credits, so always double check!

But AP classes must be listed as "freshman" so if I go by credits, I'll have some classes listed as freshman, some as junior, and some as senior.

Sorry, I'll try to rephrase. Definitely include the AP credits as freshman, but anything otherwise would be considered junior/senior.
