I just need a yes or no and if no then why. Is it possible for an LPC to work for a university part time or full time?

Doing what? Teaching, research, counseling? Any/all of the above?

They may be able to teach some applied courses, but I'd think most of the adjunct and all of the full-time faculty will be doctoral level people because of the research and publication requirements of professors.

sorry i didn't specify. I meant doing counseling at a university, like a school psychologist sort of.

Yes an LPC can work at a univesity as counselor, and teach classes. T4C is correct that in most cases you will need to be a PhD level person to teach much anything beyond practical applications, or undergraduate level classes.

No real university will let an LPC teach a significant course. There are dozens of PhDs who would love to lecture or be adjunct professors already.

I am not going to look to your comment as possibly inflammatory, but please seek to get your facts right before commenting. There were several posts before yours that provided information. Second to that LPC is a license, not a degree. There are many PhD/EDd folks that teach at the university level, that also maintain a license as an LPC.
