You say the best dental school is the one that fits me most. But how come there's a top school list for medical schools but not for dental schools? Is it because dental schools are all even steven? Just curious....

The methodology for the US News medical school rankings is shaky at best, the dental field realized this (along with some behind the table rankings shenanigans IIRC) and the decision was made to leave schools unranked.

A good decision IMHO, what does national research funding and opinions of faculty members from other schools have to do with the calibre of dentist a school graduates?

You are learning to be a dentist at any dental school you go to right? What you have to look at are pros/cons to each school and decide what you like about them. Something one person might love is something someone else might hate. Someone could go off explaining how much they hate "X" school and everything they are saying is making the next person like it more and more.
