Do you have the MSAR? If not buy it and start developing a list of schools based on your stats. Be particularly mindful of OOS public schools. Most favor their own residents so you need to decide if it’s worth applying. Private OOS schools are a better bet for CA residents. So look at those.

Will get that and begin to look at it. Thank you.

Your stats are not a good match for several of these (Albany, Loyola, Temple...)

Add Colombia Mount Sinai Pitt mayo and Duke

Hi Goro,
I will add these schools. I really appreciate your great suggestion.
One of my Pre-Med advisers (she just came to our school last year or 18 months ago) comments that I need to build my sGPA to 3.6 (I have 3.58 now) to become competitive. But right now I am very busy with my public research and I volunteer a lot. One of my golf course friends who is currently a junior year MD student in my University said I should ignore her comment and keep doing my clinical volunteer and any other volunteer activities based on my passions. I really can't find more time to add more science classes just to add a little more to my sGPA. Your thoughts? Thank you very much.

Rising GPA trends are always good.

Now that I have more time, I would scratch OH State, U Penn, U Cincy, U MI and U IA. and be more conservative and suggest Yale OR JHU.

ADD: Hofstra, VCU, EVMS, the Philly Triplets, Netter, Rush, Rosy Franklin, and maybe a few DO schools.
