How did your Freshmen schedule look like, and for that matter, schedules for every year before Pharmacy school starts/started?

Members don't see this ad.

FRESHMAN
fall semester- 19 credits (insane!)
winter semester- 18 credits

summer- 1 class (5 credits)

SOPHOMORE
fall semester- 18 credits (included in that is organic chemistry I, which basically left me with no life)
winter semester- 15 credits- this is my current semester, and it's finally a light enough load that I'm able to have a little bit of a social life.

You only have to take this rough of a schedule if you take a two-year pre-pharm track. If you want to do it in 3 or 4 years, you can take lighter class loads, depending on the program you want to get into.

Sorry for the long post. You can get solid grades while taking heavy loads and going out on the weekends, just have good time management!

[And yes I'm leaving w/out a degree! Before this Spring semester of taking random classes, I would have still been a semester early to graduate (aka the Fall my senior year) but oh well...!]

yeah I go to UT now...and our prereqs are not as hard as other pharm schools. The thing is, it's not all about GPA here... you have to be a well-rounded person. So, get a good GPA, PCAT, and be active in organizations while getting some pharmacy experience and you should be fine :)
